Wrongful Death Cases

Under The Fatal Accidents Act, C.C.S.M., c. F50 of Manitoba, an action can be brought against a party on behalf of family members of the deceased where an individual’s death was caused by a wrongful act, neglect or default of another party. Damages for loss of care, guidance and companionship may be sought as well as funeral expenses and other economic losses where the person who is deceased provided economic support to other dependents.
