Fred focuses his practice on labour law, employment law and civil litigation. He acts primarily for unions, associations and employees on all aspects of labour and employment law, including collective agreements, employment contracts, certifications, unfair labour practices, discipline and terminations. Fred’s advocacy has seen him make appearances before all levels of Manitoba Courts, the Federal Court of Canada, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. He also routinely appears before arbitration and adjudication boards, the Manitoba Labour Board, the Canada Labour Board, and the Manitoba Human Rights Commission.
Fred also dedicates time to a number of community and legal organizations, including acting as general counsel to a number of First Nation and Aboriginal organizations, and serves as an Appeals Officer under The Youth Drug Stabilization Act. He is also currently a Managing Partner of Tapper Cuddy LLP. Fred also enjoys exploring the wild with his wife and their two Labrador Retrievers, Milly and Jack.
